Skull-a-day

The American artist Noah Scalin created this skull using 375 real brain slices encased in acrylic, owned by Philadelphia’s Mütter Museum . Over the course of two days, he arranged the slices on two large old library tables and climbed a ladder over and over making sure the image looked right from a single vantage point. He then used a bit of fabric for the eyes and nose.
