In Situ by Almalè and Bondia
Spanish artists Almalè and Bondia compose barriers of mirrors in places difficult to access, such as the edge of the borders on both sides of the Pyrenees, which is the setting for their series In Situ.
The fragmentary and altered vision of the landscape, reflected by the mirrors, is accentuated by the individual composition which the frame itself brings – a shape different in every intervention. Like a window open to the world, a mental mirror that organises the relationships between what is real and what is imaginary, between fact and fiction, it invites a serious look at it.
